Green Garden Day at the 19th & Sanchez steps

The green garden event last month was a great kickoff for this monthly-event-series. So, as promised, we’re doing it again. This month, it is the turn of the steps at Sanchez and 19th street.

On Saturday, April 4th 2015, from 9-11am, we’ll be doing a Garden Day at the 19th & Sanchez steps, working on the steps and the surrounding green areas. Like before, this is a joint event by the 20th Street Neighborhood Watch, the Dolores Heights Improvement Club, SF Alliance and SF Department of Public Works.

Like before, this will involve improving the steps, and the surrounding green areas – a mix of neighborhood safety and gardening work all combined. Bring your gloves, tools, sunblock(!) and love of the neighborhood. There’ll be coffee, treats, and the tools that SF Parks Alliance donated to us at the last event. If last month was anything to go by, it’ll also be lots of fun.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact Bruce, Darby, Liz and myself at

See you all soon!

ps: If you can’t join us on April 4th, don’t worry. This recurring series is every first Saturday of the month, so you have another chance on May 2nd, June 6th…
