Join us on Saturday, October 8 (12 noon to 3pm on Sanchez between 21st & Hill) for a great Dolores Heights tradition – our annual Block Party!
Dolores Heights Improvement Club (DHIC) started over 50 years ago to “improve” the neighborhood. Back then, the focus was on getting underground utilities and other infrastructure improvements for a growing family neighborhood. While our focus has evolved, we’ve always fostered neighbors meeting and socializing.
The annual block party gives neighbors a chance to meet and greet other residents of Dolores Heights. Part DIY (food, music, kids fun) and part donated items for raffle and consumption – it’s always fun and interesting.
This year we look forward to welcoming the candidates for State Senator: Jane Kim & Scott Wiener. We have a variety of organizations on resources for urban living: permaculture and native plants, zero waste (Recology), cat & dog services, and kids’ activities.
- Scott Wiener (D) candidate for State Senate, District 11.
- Just one of the fascinating historic photos we will have on display.
- Jane Kim, current San Francisco Supervisor and candidate for State Senate, District 11.
In addition, we have music from Multi-celli (cello group) and “The Vibes” a ukulele group. Plenty of grab & go food plus yummy treats from Absinthe Brasserie & Bar, Casa Sanchez, and PetitPot.
Come see old friends and meet your neighbors! Saturday, October 8 from 12 noon to 3pm.
