Thanks to All for Block Party Success

On behalf of the Dolores Heights Improvement Club Board, thank you to everyone that made ourOctober 7thBlock Party a great success!

It was a fun and sunny day with activities, visitors, and the Great Raffle! Neighbors came together – old friends reconnected and new friendships were forged.

Joining us at the party were our District 8 Supervisor, Jeff Sheehy; the Mission Station Captain, Bill Griffin; and Rafael Mandelman, candidate for District 8 Supervisor. We also had a special visit from the family of Susana Robles, the shooting victim on Rayburn Street.

Huge thanks to all the merchants who donated prizes for the Raffle and food items for our refreshments. Congratulations to the lucky raffle winners. We hope your prize introduces you to a new neighborhood business!

A big shout out to all who helped to produce our annual party, especially…

  • Joe Titi, the king of the Great Raffle prizes and the membership table
  • John Guisti who helped with membership
  • Ursula Hunting, our event manager extraordinaire
  • Darby Auerbach-Morris, Kid Corner wrangler
  • David Pennebaker, our local history buff
