Green Garden Day at the Liberty & Sanchez steps

Last month’s green garden event was another great success. We’re now officially on a roll! This month, it is the turn of the steps at Liberty and Sanchez streets.

signOn Saturday, June 6th 2015, from 9-11am, we’ll be doing a Garden Day at the Liberty and Sanchez steps, working on the steps and the surrounding green areas. As always, this is a joint event by the 20th Street Neighborhood Watch, the Dolores Heights Improvement Club, SF Parks Alliance and SF Department of Public Works.

Like before, this will involve improving the steps, and the surrounding green areas – a mix of neighborhood safety and gardening work all combined. Bring your gloves, tools, sunblock(!) and love of the neighborhood. There’ll be coffee and treats provided by DHIC, tools provided by SF Parks Alliance at the previous events and as usual – lots of friendly faces. If the last events were anything to go by, this should also be a fun morning.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact Bruce, Darby, Dave, Liz and myself at

See you all soon!

ps: If you can’t join us this weekend, don’t worry – we’ll be doing this again on July 11th (our usual first Saturday falls on the 4thJuly weekend, so we’re deferring to the following weekend for July only only.)
