Green Garden Day at the 19th & Sanchez steps

Our June green garden event was a success and enjoyed by all participants. This month, it is the turn of the west side of the steps at 19th and Sanchez Streets.

On Saturday, August 1st 2015, from 9-11 am, we’ll be doing a Garden Day at the 19th and Sanchez steps, working on the steps and the west side green area. (We did work on the east side in April). As always, this is a joint event by:

As before, this will involve improving the steps, and the surrounding green areas, a mix of neighborhood safety and gardening work all combined. Bring your gloves, tools, sunblock(!) and love of the neighborhood.

There’ll be coffee and treats provided by DHIC, tools provided by SF Parks Alliance & DPW, and lots of friendly faces. As with previous events, this should also be a fun morning.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact Darby, Dave, Liz and me at

See you all soon!

Bruce Muncil, Co-Chair DHIC Garden and Safety
Darby Auerbach-Morris, Co-Chair DHIC Garden and Safety

PS: If you can’t join us this weekend, don’t worry – we’ll be doing this again on Saturday October 3rd at 20th and Noe Street stairs and green space. We will be skipping September First Saturday because of Labor Day weekend.
